          Mr. Ananchai Uthaiwattanachep, The Director-General of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare said that the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare places great emphasis on caring for and improving the quality of life of employees and their families, and encourages and supports business establishments to set up childcare centers for laborers in their businesses and communities , industrial estates, construction and state enterprises. One of the ways that the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare is working on is to create a warm and strong family which effects on the physical, mental, emotional, social and intellectual development of the child laborer. It also reduces anxiety and reduces the burden of child labor costs. From 2004 to present, there are establishments that have set up 60 childcare centers, 1,258 children have been raised.
          The Director General of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare said the cabinet resolution on January 16, 2018 approved tax measures to promote the establishment of a day care center. It is the welfare of the employees for the establishment of the company or the juristic partnership. The company or partnership that has the expense to set up a daycare center in a business establishment can charge such expenses as deductible expenses and can be deducted up to one actual amount, but not exceeding 1 million baht, which is applicable to expenses paid in the accounting period commencing on or after January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2020.
