Family of Insured Person in Phetchaburi Thanks Labour Minister for Supporting with Benefits for People with Disabilities

        Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Social Security Office to assist in compensation for disability and loss of income for relatives of an insured person who was mentally ill. The beneficiaries are villagers living in Moo 3, Tha Yang, Tha Yang, Phetchaburi, and will receive benefits totaling 469,260 Baht.

        On April 1, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the case of Ms. Arisa Rattanathiwat, who filed a letter on February 22, 2021, requesting assistance for Ms. Kanthanapat Rodai, the sister of a partner who is mentally ill. The case was evaluated by a doctor who is registered with the Social Security Office of Phetchaburi Province. Yesterday (March 31, 2021), the Labour Minister assigned the Social Security Office, whereby the SSO’s Inspector-General Mr. Nanthachai Panyasurarit, received the request. In this regard, Ms. Arisa thanked the Labour Minister for assigning the SSO to compensate people with disabilities.

        Mr. Suchart said that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, see the importance of solving problems and reducing social inequality without leaving anyone behind. Therefore, the Labour Minister assigned the Phetchaburi Social Security Office to coordinate assistance, benefits, and compensation for Ms. Kanthanapat Rodai, a mentally ill patient. She is a resident of Moo 3, Tha Yang, Tha Yang, Phetchaburi. The benefits are as follows: 1) Old-age pension of 46,417.48 Baht and compensation. 2) Compensation for the lack of income from mild disability for 180 months or 15 years, amounting to 2,607 Baht per month (30 percent of monthly contributions), totaling 469,260 Baht. The benefits can be assessed again if the disability becomes more severe.

        “I arrived from Phetchaburi on February 22. I came to ask for mercy from Labour Minister about my partner’s sister, who is mentally ill. Today I am grateful for his kindness in assisting, benefits for people with disabilities, and compensation for lack of income,” concluded Ms. Arisa.
