          In the past year, the Department of Employment has provided special work for students to work on condition that the students must be 15 years old or older, if working in a government agency, must work at least 7 hours a day, excluding holidays. If they work less than 3 and a half hours per day, the compensation will not exceed 150 baht. If they work in a private establishment, the minimum hourly wage rate is 40 baht per hour. The students can work up to 7 hours a day and up to 36 hours a week. If they work outside of class time during the regular semester, they have to work up to 4 hours a day, on school holidays, weekends and public holidays up to 6 hours a day.           Mr. Anurak said that in the year 2017, 13,297 students were recruited for job placement and 8,555 were employed.
