Labour Minister Assigns Advisor to Phetchaburi to Award Establishments with the Thai Labour Management Excellence Award 2021

          On September 28, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit the area to award workplaces with the Thailand Labor Management Excellence Award 2021. The occasion occurred at the Nopparat Room, Royal Diamond Hotel, Rai Som Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phetchaburi Province. Heads of government agencies in affiliation with the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi Province participated in the occasion. Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, has foreseen the importance of the workforce, which is an important force of the nation. It focuses on raising awareness among employers and employees to comply with labour laws, including establishing a labour relationship management system and welfare. It aims to improve the quality of life of employees and their families, following the philosophy of a sufficiency economy and creating a good investment climate. It gives drug addicts the opportunity to redeem themselves and return as good people to society to show that their establishment is part of the government’s policy to prevent and solve drug problems. This is a national problem that all sectors must cooperate on for peace for all people.
          “Today, I was assigned by Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, to congratulate and admire the awarded educational institutions and establishments from participating in the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare’s various activities to prevent and solve drug problems in the workplace, improve employees’ quality of life, and in workplace safety for youths who will be an important force of the nation. Such organizations have managed their workforce correctly and ethically with good labour practices, consistently meeting the criteria. I would like to thank all educational institutes and business establishments that have received the award today and ask you to maintain good deeds and the standards of every project for the future,” concluded Mrs. Thiwalrat.
          The award ceremony consisted of 1) 22 educational institutions that received certificates for safe, educational institutions and establishments that received an award for being an outstanding role model establishment in safety, occupational health, and working environment. 2) 30 establishments that have adopted good labour practices, 3) 9 establishments on outstanding labour relations and welfare, and business establishments uniting to provide drug addicts the opportunity to return as good people to society and workplaces that join the good labour project to the sufficiency economy method.
