Labour Minister Assigns Advisor to Visit and Deliver Goods to Ill Insured Persons in King Mongkut’s Hospital in Phetchaburi

          On February 3, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit the area to give encouragement and deliver items to insured persons who are patients in hospitals or intermediate care at King Mongkut’s Hospital, Khlong Krachaeng Subdistrict, Mueang Phetchaburi District, Phetchaburi Province. The hospital is part of the Social Security Office’s network. The Social Security Office’s Inspector-General, Mrs. Wantana Natthaphunwat, Director of King Mongkut’s Hospital in Phetchaburi Province, Dr. Pichet Phuongkichcharoen, along with the heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi Province also joined the occasion.

          Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin has the “Workforce at Ease with the 2022 New Year Gift” policy by the Ministry of Labour, where Social Security Offices across the country are required to implement a social security program to visit insured persons with disabilities and patients in intermediate care at the hospital. Today, the Labour Minister assigned her and the delegation to pay a visit to give morale and encouragement to the sick insured persons admitted at King Mongkut’s Hospital in Phetchaburi Province, which had 30 cases. They also assured the insured persons that the Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office is ready to supervise and develop an effective medical service management system, an important policy for insured persons’ satisfaction.

          Mrs. Thiwalrat continued, “Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin has expressed concern and shared encouragement to insured persons who are patients at the hospital or in intermediate care. The Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office is ready to take care of the insured persons closely in all dimensions. Today, we would like to thank the team of doctors and medical personnel from King Mongkut’s Hospital in Phetchaburi for their cooperation in facilitating the provision of medical services, including effective treatment of sick insured persons, to build confidence in the medical service system, which is consistent with the Labour Minister’s policy to care for all insured persons like family members, and the government’s policy to leave no one behind.

          From there, the Labour Minister’s Advisor and delegation paid a visit to support two insured persons with disabilities in Mueang District, Phetchaburi Province. The first was Mr. Niwet Nilthong, 76 years, who had a stroke. The second was Ms. Sirirat Rattanajongchitkorn, 40 years, with autoimmune cerebral atrophy and slow communication. They delivered consumer goods and various equipment, acknowledged problems, and advised exercising the legal rights of persons with disabilities. They also follow up on the injuries to be treated and rejuvenated, both physically and mentally, to create stability and the best quality of life for insured persons.
