Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong to give a special lecture on the topic of “EEC Area: Happy Working People” for the trainees of the Change Leadership Program for Workforce Development and to promote the drive of decent work for companies in the area to become a model of health organization to improve the quality of life of the workforce.
On October 9, 2020, the Labour Minister assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong to give a special lecture on the topic of “EEC Area: Happy Working People” for the trainees of the Change Leadership Program for Workforce Development, batch four, at the Novotel Marina Hotel, Sriracha, and Koh Srichang, Chonburi. The Labour Ministers Assistant said that the Prime Minister emphasized the development of workers’ capacity in the EEC area to meet the needs of the industrial and service sectors and promote employment in 10 target industries that drive the country’s economy. Today, he was assigned by the Labour Minister to visit the EEC area to support and promote decent work for establishments in Rayong, Chonburi, and Chachoengsao, to be a model for improving the quality of life of working people.
The Change Leadership Program for Workforce Development is part of the movement of the Healthy & Safety to be Decent Work project, a collaboration between the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Labour. The Change Leadership Association for Workforce Development is the core of the integration. The discussion topics are specially designed to enhance the trainees’ experience to focus on the participants’ results to support the practice of selected establishments developing as a model of health organization. This means that the workers will have a good quality of life and happiness. The companies are supported by the government sector to systematically develop and raise standards in various fields and sustainably, promoting workers’ good quality of life, health, safety, and loyalty to the organization. It further promotes the stability of work resulting in work efficiency and productivity. The government sector has a prototype factory in which the factory coexists with the community. People work well and are happy. The efforts also include an integrated network of work between the public and private sectors, especially young leaders who will coordinate for continuous integration and development.
