Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned his Secretariat to follow up on the employment promotion program’s progress for new graduates from both public and private sectors (Co-Payment), acknowledge the problems and facts on local operations, together with solutions. This will help the Ministry of Labour achieve its goal, in line with the government’s policy to promote employment and drive the economy after Covid-19 eases, for a speedy recovery.
On November 4, 2020, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Secretariat to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong presided over the meeting of the employment promotion program for new graduates from both public and private sectors (Co-Payment), which took place at the Tien Achakul Meeting Room, 10th floor, Ministry of Labour. Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan and Advisory Board Member to the Labour Minister Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat also joined the occasion. The Secretariat to the Labour Minister said that Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin thanked the meeting participants for inviting companies to join the booths at the Job Expo event. Today, the Secretariat explained that he was assigned to follow up on the employment promotion program’s progress for new graduates by the public and private sectors (Co-Payment) to acknowledge the state of problems and facts from local operations and solutions to problems. The Labour Minister and the Ministry of Labour’s executives are always present to achieve the set goals, in line with the government’s policy to promote employment and drive the economy after Covid-19 has eased, to recover quickly. Today’s meeting has an important agenda to acknowledge the Job Expo recruitment results and the results of the Co-Payment recruitment program.
Mr. Suthep said that Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin had assigned agencies under the Ministry of Labour in each province to cooperate and visit establishments, track recruitment, and promote job vacancies through various channels employment among new graduates and unemployed people, to get jobs quickly. The new employment promotion program for new graduates by the public and private sectors (Co-payment) aims to process 260,000 graduates from October 2020 – September 2021, The qualifications of employers and establishments wishing to join the program must be in the social security system, having terminated no more than 15% of the employee population within one year from the date of consideration to join the program. New graduates’ employment contracts must be for one year. Or, if a graduate resigns during the project, the company can find a replacement graduate. The new graduates must be of Thai nationality and have never been in the social security system before. They must not be over 25 years old, or if they are over 25, they must have been a graduate from the 2019 or 2020 academic year. New graduates studying at the Bachelor’s, vocational, and grade 6 level can register through the “Thaimeengartum.com” website, click the banner hiring new graduates, and then follow the registration process accordingly.
