Labour Minister Chairs MOL Executive Meeting to Monitor Progress on Driving Government Policies

          The Labour Minister chaired the Ministry of Labour’s Executive Meeting on accelerating labour missions according to government policy. He reported that the Prime Minister thanked the Ministry of Labour for helping the workforce affected by Covid-19.

          On January 27, 2021, at 10.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin chaired the Ministry of Labour’s Executive Meeting no. 1/2021. Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, the Labour Minister’s Secretariat Mr. Suthep Chitayavong, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives joined the meeting, which took place at the Prof. Nikom Chandravithu meeting room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. The Labour Minister said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, is concerned for the workforce and all groups of people, whereby the Ministry of Labour has continued to implement government measures. The Prime Minister asked all to join in wishing the Governor of Samut Sakhon to recover from Covid-19 as soon as possible and encourage officials from all sectors to perform duties to combat Covid-19 in Samut Sakhon and other provinces. The Prime Minister also thanked the Ministry of Labour for helping workers affected by Covid-19.

          In this regard, the meeting reported the progress of operations according to the Ministry of Labour’s orders on December 9, 2020. In addition, the agenda included a report of the expenditure budget for the 2021 fiscal year, an overview of the Ministry of Labour, and setting up a war room for labour management. The meeting also covered matters for consideration, including the Ministry of Labour’s key policies and urgent policies, performance on receiving grievances, complaints, and solutions to problems of agencies under the Ministry of Labour. It also discussed the performance according to the policy of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan in the inspection, delivery of policies, and monitoring the performance of the Ministry of Labour in preparation for organizing the National Informal Workforce Management Committee meeting and preparing for giving unemployment benefits to employees of Body Fashion (Thailand) Company Limited, Nakhon Sawan Branch.
