Labour Minister Emphasizes All Five Labour Leaders in Three Southern Provinces to Coordinate with SBPAC to Move Workers Systematically

Content Description

Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomlin assigned government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat provinces to accelerate the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center’s coordination to help younger workers have jobs. The initiative encourages applications to the Co-Payment project, to move workers systematically and encourage people in the southern border provinces to have a job, career, and income, to bring security and peace to the area.

On November 15, 2020, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin revealed that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister General Prayuth, gives importance to promoting employment to help people affected by Covid-19 quickly return to employment, gain income and promote economic recovery. The Ministry of Labour, under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, as a supervisor of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC), gives importance to promoting employment, especially among the younger generation of workers who do not have a job. Today, the Labour Minister has therefore assigned agencies under the Ministry of Labour in the three southern border provinces, including Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat, to accelerate coordination to bring local youths into the employment system through the employment promotion program for new graduates by the government and private sectors (Co-Payment), which is currently accepting applications across the country. With the SBPAC facilitating the delivery of workers to various establishments with demand for labour, it will support the systematic movement of labour and help young people have a career and stable income, to bring peace to the area.

Mr. Suchart continued that from this cooperation, on November 18, there will be the first 84 workers, which the SBPAC will take care of the delivery of workers to the southern border provinces, to Cal-Comp Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., which is a company located in Khao Yoi, Phetchaburi. The Phetchaburi Employment Office will also support facilitation.
“I would like to thank the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center or the SBPAC for facilitating the delivery of workers from the three border provinces, to workplaces with labour needs, according to the Co-Payment scheme. It is a systematic movement of workers, both in the southern border provinces and outside the area, to help new graduates to have a job, earn a living, and bring stability and peace to the area,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
