Labour Minister Gives Special Lecture on “New Graduates: Entry into the Labour Market”

          On November 2, 2020, at 09.35 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin gave a special lecture on “New Graduates: Entry into the Labour Market” and awarded seven plaques to sponsors of the Ministry of Labour Meets the People @Phuket event and 17 badges to “Labour Volunteer Leaders” in Phuket from 17 sub-districts. The occasion took place at the gymnasium building, Phuket Municipality, Vichit, Mueang Phuket, Phuket.
          The Labour Minister said that following the government’s Cabinet offsite in Phuket, the Ministry of Labour has created a Co-payment program to create new employment and drive the economy. It is a solution to the unemployment problem from the Covid-19 epidemic, which is in line with Prime Minister and Defense Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan’s policies, which supervise the Ministry of Labour, and focuses on promoting employment.
          The Labour Minister thanked all public and private sectors, especially the Phuket Municipality, who supported the venue and all educational institution administrators who have led students close to graduation to join the event, creating and expanding career opportunities for them. The Ministry of Labour has been working for the students. It has created a Co-payment project, a good project for graduating students to increase job opportunities, especially for those who have no work experience. In the program, the government sector contributes half of the monthly salary, according to the educational qualification, for 260,000 graduates. The program is scheduled to operate from October 2020 to September 30, 2021, to help employers and organizations in the private sector achieve business liquidity.
