Content Description

On October 29, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the incident where the Social Security Office’s Spokesperson Ms. Ladda Saelee received a complaint through the program “Rueng Nee Tong Roo,” which was broadcast on the Thai Broadcasting Station on October 28. He said that Ms. Busakorn Charoenchai, the complainant, is blind in both eyes and has the status of an insured person under Section 39. She is entitled to receive compensation from the government but cannot link her PromptPay account to receive the compensation as she is a person who the court has ruled for bankruptcy. In this regard, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha are concerned about workers and entrepreneurs who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the Labour Minister instructed the Social Security Office to provide urgent support in this area.

Mr. Suchart gave the latest updates on the progress of support. In the afternoon of the same day, the Social Security Office’s Spokesperson Ms. Ladda Saelee paid a visit to the insured person’s home in Muang District, Nonthaburi Province, to assist the insured person who made a complaint through the program to fill out the necessary information to receive compensation. The information will then be submitted for the insured person to become a registered person with a disability to consider paying compensation and receive complete, accurate, and fast services.

Ms. Busakorn, an insured person under Section 39, lives in Nonthaburi province, ranked as the highest controlled province. She will receive compensation from the government at 5,000 Baht per month for two months, totaling 10,000 Baht.
“This compensation from the government will help ease the burden of workers in the fight against the COVID-19 situation. Let’s overcome this situation together,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
