Labour Minister Leads Team to Buy Shrimp from Nakhon Pathom to Support Local Fisheries

             Today (December 30, 2020) at 07.30 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomkin, along with the Ministry of Labour’s executives, visited and gave support to shrimp farmers and independent workers from Nakhon Pathom, which was affected by the Covid-19 outbreak. Today 1,200 kilograms of shrimp were brought to be sold at lower prices than the market.

             Provincial Governor Mr. Surasak Charoensirichot assigned Nakhon Pathom Labour Officer Mrs. Wannakarn Khaolap and Nakhon Pathom Fisheries Officer Mr. Chanin Sangrungruang to bring shrimp farmers from Nakhon Pathom to sell shrimp at the Ministry of Labour. Nakhon Pathom Labour Officer Mrs. Wannakarn Khaolap said that from the meeting of the Committee on Communicable Diseases in Nakhon Pathom, they sourced remedies for shrimp farming operators who were affected by the Covid-19 situation in Nakhon Pathom. The Provincial Labour Office met with heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Nakhon Pathom to find solutions to the problems in driving the Covid-19 Coordination Centers’ operations on December 29, 2020. Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, chaired the meeting. Nakhon Pathom Labour Officer Mrs. Wannakarn Khaolap asked for permission from the Labour Minister’s Advisor to take shrimp farmers from Nakhon Pathom to sell shrimp in the Ministry of Labour to help shrimp farmers affected by the Covid-19 situation.

             Mr. Weerachai Malee, owner of Weerachai Farm located at Tambon Bang Rakam, Amphur Nakhon Chai Si, Nakhon Pathom said, “I thank Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin and all of the Ministry of Labour’s executives and officials for supporting the shrimp farming industry in Nakhon Pathom, who received a warm welcome. Thank you to the Governor of Nakhon Pathom, the Nakhon Pathom Labour Labour Officer, and the Nakhon Pathom Fisheries Officer too.”
