The Labour Minister said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha emphasizes the promotion of employment to help people affected by Covid-19 quickly return to employment, earn an income, and promote economic recovery. The Ministry of Labour under supervision by Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, as the supervisor of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC), has emphasized employment promotion, especially among young people in the southern border provinces who unemployed. It also focuses on supporting the systematic labour movement. Currently, 881 youths from the three southern border provinces have come to work at Cal-Comp, including 211 people from Pattani, 76 people from Yala, and 594 from Narathiwat. A total of 210 people traveled with the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC), and the remaining 671 people traveled by themselves. In the future, travel will continue over time. The SBPAC and agencies under the Ministry of Labour in the three southern border provinces, including Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat, have integrated a systematic labour movement, which is a good way to resolve unemployment in the area, coupled with labour shortages in the country as well.
Mr. Suchart said that Cal-Comp is fortunate not to be affected by Covid-19. It has not gone through a workforce reduction but requires more workers. Therefore, it has accepted people from the three provinces for work, which is a good example of collaboration between the public and private sectors that will help resolve the problem of unemployment and help drive the country’s economy. He, therefore, thanked Cal-Comp for the support and cooperation with all sectors very well.
