Ministry of Skill Development creates new breeders, trains SMEs and community enterprises

          Mr. Suthi Sukosol, Director-General of the Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Labor, revealed that the increase in labor productivity is important for the development of the country in the age of 4.0, as well as the SMEs as the foundation of the economy and society of the country. The “Workforce Enhancement Program for SMEs 4.0” aims to increase the competitiveness of SMEs, OTOP and community enterprises. In 2018, there were 185 participating enterprises to develop the capacity of 65,500 employees in accordance with the government’s 20-year human resource development strategy and in line with Agenda base by H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labor to improve the skills of the employees to meet the needs of business establishments and the empowerment of Thai workers.

          Mr. Suthi further stated that this workshop was one of the activities of the project to assist employers and businesses to develop employees by training, developing competencies. “New Skill Development Worker” is offered to staff in Skill Development and Skill Development Offices throughout the country. Two training courses were conducted with 150 participants. The first version focuses on techniques for analyzing specific information. The second edition deals with techniques used to increase productivity. They will learn practical and group brainstorming ideas under the topic: Interviewing Techniques, Impression Making, Process Analysis, Professional Counseling Techniques, Modeling Processes 5 STEM trainer’s attitude to improve work.

           “The training will allow the staff to be consultants for the facility efficiently, be able to analyze both internal and external environments in a broad and deep perspective, to analyze data, evaluate solutions, and push forward creativity to create new innovations. The application of technology supports the development of SME 4.0 and strengthen the economy and society of the country, “said Director General of Department of Skill Development.
