The Ministry of Labour’s Secretary-General launched the “Healthy Thailand for the insured persons to be aware of good health in the new normal” project, driving the Healthy Thailand policy and emphasizing proactive health checks for insured persons.
On September 17, 2020, at 10.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Secretary-General Mr. Suthep Chitayavong, as chairperson over the commencement of the “Healthy Thailand for the insured persons to be aware of good health in the new normal” project, driving the Healthy Thailand policy for insured persons of the Ministry of Labour. The event took place at the Vibharam Amata Nakornchang Hospital, Chonburi. Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat reported on this project’s objectives to drive the Healthy Thailand policy for insured persons of the Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office through the 3H mechanism. The 3H mechanism consists of “helping” (protection, care, and benefits from the Social Security Fund and Compensation Fund for insured persons), “healthy” (health promotion and disease prevention for insured persons to have good health), and “harmless” (promoting safety and reducing continuous and intermittent hazards from work), to proactively strengthen insured persons’ health in industrial and service sectors across the country. The project also aims to build cooperation among employers, insured persons, healthcare facilities, agencies, partners, networks, and the Social Security Office, to publicize and create awareness of the Social Security Office’s important policies on health promotion and disease prevention, including encouraging employer and insured persons to be more interested in their health and encourage them to live their lives the new normal way.
The Ministry of Labour’s Secretary-General said that the Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office has a policy of proactive health checks for insured persons consisting of 14 items and has improved and added benefits in health promotion and disease prevention programs in the social security system in the case of influenza vaccine for Section 33 and 39 insured persons aged 50 years or more. This benefit is beneficial to disease prevention of insured persons, which will start operations on October 15, 2020.
