MOL Commences Knowledge Sharing Program on Convention 100 on Equal Remuneration, 1951, and Convention 111 on Discrimination in Respect of Employment and Occupation, 1958

            On September 10, 2020, at 13.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol presided over the knowledge sharing program’s commencement on Convention No. 100 on equal remuneration for male and female workers in equal work, 1951 and Convention No. 111 on discrimination regarding employment and occupation, 1958. Deputy Permanent Secretary Ms. Aumpun Thuvavit also joined the occasion at the Centara Grand Hotel, Central World, Bangkok.

            The project included lectures on the work of the expert committee on the implementation of conventions and recommendations. The event took place in the form of lectures in training rooms and on-line lectures to raise awareness of equal compensation and employment and career discrimination, for all departments and sectors to have aligned understanding. The knowledge will promote a fair society in terms of working compensation, free from discrimination in employment and occupation, to meet the two conventions’ objectives. The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, private sectors, employers’ organizations, and employee organizations, totaling 150 people.
