Today (December 16, 2019) at 13.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol presided over the opening ceremony of the “Capabilities Development Project of the Ministry of Labour’s Service Center” at the Grand Ratchada Room, 5th floor, Than Thip Building, Chaophya Park Hotel, Bangkok. The Permanent Secretary of Labour said, “The Ministry of Labour’s service center is a representative of every department under the Ministry of Labour, bringing labour services to people in the area. It can provide services covering all missions of the Ministry of Labour, and therefore requires continuous human resource development to meet the needs of the people better.”

“The government attaches importance to public services and facilitates access to government services. The Ministry of Labour’s service center’s mission is to provide services to people in the area/community and to be close to the people. Therefore, there must be a network of cooperation from all sectors, working towards the same goal, which is for the well-being of the people, and driving the work of the Ministry of Labour’s Service Center to create more tangible outputs. Personnel must create awareness and drive communications to reach customers, creating a good image for the Ministry of Labour.”

This project was arranged to create knowledge and understanding in serving the people. It uses information systems and aims to increase relevant awareness about labour, develop service skills and expertise in labour law. Providing labour assistance through the MOL I Lert U application, allows for active service and problem-solving techniques, together with the One-Stop Service system and Ministry of Labour’s public service systems. Participants were 150 staff from provincial labour offices, staff from the Ministry of Labour’s Service Center, and other relevant personnel.
