MOL Drives Labour Volunteers Operations in Nakhon Pathom

            The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour commenced the project to drive the development of labour volunteers, responding to government policy to build a network and expand the body of knowledge to people in the area to “understand, access and develop.”
            On March 5, 2021, at 10.30 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Niyom Songkaew commenced the project to drive the development of labour volunteers in Nakhon Pathom. The occasion took place at the Piman Pathom meeting room, 5th floor, Nakhon Pathom city hall. Nakhon Pathom Provincial Labour Officer Mrs. Wannakarn Khaolap said that the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Labour Office had implemented the project to drive volunteer workers in Nakhon Pathom to create an integrated network of labour missions of agencies under the Ministry of Labour. It aims to strengthen workers’ knowledge that will be beneficial to the mission and provide coordination of labour services to the network of labour volunteers to respond to government and Ministry of Labour’s policies efficiently and effectively. There were 110 volunteers, workers, and related staff participating in the project.
            Mrs. Wannakarn said that the roles and duties of labour volunteers include: 1. Acting a medium of public relations to disseminate information to people in the area to understand thoroughly. 2. Build knowledge and understanding about services and various benefits according to the labour law for job seekers, workers, and people in the area to prevent job hunting scams. 3. To be the primary coordinator between job seekers, workers, and people in the area in the event of deception or problems with labour 4. To collect information about basic labour needs and movements in the area or other information as required by the organization and deliver the said information to the Ministry of Labour or agencies under the Ministry of Labour in the province to consider for planning in labour operations in the area.
