The Thai PBS and network project to give warmth to the people is organized by the People’s Station program, on Thai PBS. The project is to provide winter garments, sports equipment, teaching equipment, and general items for students and victims of the cold in Ban Khok, Uttaradit. Most people need support for clothing, blankets, and sweaters for children, students, patients, the elderly and people in the area, including school uniforms, shoes, sports equipment, and teaching tools for children in remote villages. Assistance is also needed in managing solutions to the shortage of drinking and clean water or creating reservoirs to alleviate the suffering of people in the area, which is highly mountainous, alternating with plains. There are mountains lying in the north-south direction and the climate is very cold in winter. During the cold season, the minimum temperature is 10 degrees Celsius, and the highest summer temperature is 40.5 degrees Celsius. In addition, there are areas adjacent to the Thai-Laos border, which are affected by drought and water shortages every year.

At present, Ban Khok, Uttaradit, has 4 sub-districts, 1 municipality, 16 primary schools, 1 secondary school, and a non-formal and informal education center. There are 6,364 households, with a total population of 14,715 people. The majority of the population work in agriculture, especially rice and corn, and there are some who work in foreign countries too.
