MOL Launches 3H Training to Promote Thai Workforce to ‘Have Work, Have Money, Have Further Education’

Content Description

The Ministry of Labour organized the 3H training (have work, have money, have further education) to encourage job applicants to have jobs, earn income and be able to continue to study at a higher level.

Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark assigned Labour Advisor Mr. Kittipong Laoniphon to chair the opening ceremony of the training program for the civil society project to raise the quality of life and provide policies, in the implementation of the 3H project (have work, have money, have further education), at The Palazzo Hotel, Bangkok, February 14, 2019. He said, “This training is considered part of the 3H project (have work, have money, have further education), to reduce social inequality by supporting and encouraging those who are disadvantaged in education to have a stable job, earn incomes for themselves and their family, and receive higher education opportunities, supported by employers/establishments and educational institutions that provide teaching and learning programs beneficial to learners. The training corresponds to the needs of workers and enterprises, involving the government, private sector and workforce, meeting the Department of Employment’s vision for ‘Full Employment for all Ages by 2021’”.

“To drive human resource development following government policy and 20-year national strategy to achieve concrete results, the Ministry of Labour has implemented a 3H project which aims to encourage job applicants to have jobs, earn incomes and be able to continue to study at higher levels. Employers are expected to allocate time for project participants to receive education and educational institutions are responsible for organizing teaching and learning programs that are beneficial to learners. The project is different from bilateral/coeducational projects, as job applicants who join the project must be employed by a company/establishment immediately and will receive various benefits according to the law. The program truly helps improve the quality of life of the people, resolves labour shortages in the industrial sector and increases the potential and productivity of the Thai workforce, working together in the form of civil state,” the Labour Advisor concluded.
