MOL Meets to Review Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour’s Strategies for 2017-21

            The Permanent Secretary Labour concluded the workshop to review the strategic plan of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour for 2017-2021. The workshop also created awareness among agencies of plans to be implemented in accordance with the national strategy and 12th Economic Development Plan to achieve effective results.

 

            On January 18, 2018, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark, chaired the closing ceremony of the workshop to review of the strategic plan of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour (2017-2021) at Jompol P. Phibunsongkhram Room, 5th Floor, Ministry of Labour. He said that the offices’ main mission is to develop strategies for the performance of government agencies in both the central and regional offices to achieve goals of the Ministry of Labour effectively. This meeting was held between January 17-18, 2019, attended by officials from both the central and regional offices under the Office of the Permanent Secretary Labour.
            The Permanent Secretary of Labour said that Section 65 of the Constitution of Thailand, requires the state to provide a national strategy as a goal for sustainable development, in accordance with good governance principles to be used as a framework for planning which is consistent and integrated to drive together towards goals. In remembering the agency’s strategy, whether it is to define vision, strategic issues, strategies and projects/activities, there needs to be consideration and alignment with the 20-year national strategy for the period of (2018-2037). It must also be able to meet the plans of various levels such as the master plan under the national strategy, the National Economic and Social Development Plan No. 12 (2017 – 2021), the plan for national reform and to the vision of “Thailand, a stable, prosperous, sustainable and developed country” with the philosophy of a sufficient economy for the happiness of all Thai people.
            “The review of the strategic plan is important and absolutely necessary for the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour to be able to perform tasks according to its missions and to be consistent with the changing situation, with the administration of the government, national development direction and service goals of the Ministry of Labour. It must be able to serve the people with efficiency and maximum benefits, in line with the intention of the Royal Decree on the Principles and Methods of Good Governance for Government Affairs BE 2546”, concluded the Permanent Secretary.
