MOL Organizes the “Ministry of Labour Against COVID-19” Event

                The Ministry of Labour by the Housewives Association organized the activities on preventing COVID-19, with demonstrations on handwashing gel making and distribution to the public. The event aims to prevent coronavirus and emphasizes frequent hand washing to help prevent germs to some degree.

                On March 2, 2020, at 08.30 hours, Secretariat to the Labour Minister Lt. Gen. Nanthadet Meksawat, MP for the Action Coalition for Thailand party and spokeswomen for the Labour Commission Ms. Anusee Tubsuwan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, Deputy Permanent Secret of Labour Ms. Aumpun Thuvavit and committee and members of the Ministry of Labour’s Housewives Association, joined the handwashing gel making demonstrations in the “Ministry of Labour Against COVID-19” event. Labour Minister M.R. Chatu Mongol Sonakul and Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol gave out handwashing gel to the Ministry of Labour’s personnel and the general public, to prevent the exposure to the virus and to reduce the spread of the virus. The event took place at the Ministry of Labour’s building.

                Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, as President of the Ministry of Labour’s Housewives Association, said that the Ministry of Labour and the Housewives Association had made handwashing gel for the people of the Ministry of Labour to prevent the spread of COVID-19 that is currently spreading. Labour Minister M.R. Chatu Mongol Sonakul has given high importance to this matter. In addition to each department under the Ministry of Labour having preventive measures, each Provincial Employment Officer also has an independent career training program on handwashing gel.

                The activity aims to help reduce the risk of infection from coughing or sneezing, and from hand to mouth contact to a certain extent. The Ministry of Labour encourages people to avoid going to crowded places to reduce the risk of infection or spread of the disease. He emphasized that the people and the general public wear masks and wash hands frequently and use alcohol to clean hands regularly, as well as taking care of their health and getting sufficient rest, which can help prevent the virus to a certain extent.
