On September 23, 2021, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol presided over the course certificate presentation ceremony for the “Leaders of Change for Labour Development, Class 4” at the Jompol P. Mr. Thapabutr Chomsevee, President of the Association for Leaders of Change for Labour Development, Mr. Arthit Ismo, Project Executive for the “Healthy and Safety to be Decent Work,” also participated in this event. Mr. Suthi said that he would like to congratulate those who have passed the course on “Leaders of Change for Labour Development, Class 4” under the “Healthy and Safety to be Decent Work” project which received the certificates today. The government attaches great importance to laying the foundation of the nation. A 20-year national strategy has been set as the direction of work. The Ministry of Labour’s main mission must be consistent with the changing situation as well. To drive such strategies, a visionary leader is essential. It also involves cooperation between related network partners. The Leaders of Change for Labour Development, Class 4, has participants from the government, the private sector, employers, employees, and academics. Therefore, it is suitable for a situation where the Ministry emphasizes co-thinking following bilateral, tripartite, and multilateral systems. These are important principles of modern administration that require leaders with new paradigms, understanding people, and understanding the world situation comprehensively. Leaders must encompass new knowledge and skills needed to work in a complex workforce and rapidly changing environment, including new leadership ready to lead the change. It requires a Change Agent who dares to think and dares to act to drive the development strategy to keep up with the changes and lead to the organization’s success to create valuable jobs, workers, good quality of life, and happiness.
Mr. Suthi added that this training had achieved its objectives, including both theory and practice in the area. Establishments have given voluntary cooperation as a model organization, coming together to share ideas and solve problems during the activity. It is an innovation of training, in which the training would not be successful if participants did not implement and continue their learnings. Therefore, he asked that everyone use their knowledge and experiences to continue as an executive and operator who must deal with rapid changes. The training will promote the ability to convert policies into practice, directing, supervising, promoting, and supporting people to work effectively, which will positively affect the labour industry and build morale at work and create good welfare for personnel in the organization.
“The Ministry of Labour thanks the Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), the Association of Leaders of Change for Labour Development, Burapha University, Kalayanamit, and the faculty of lecturers and researchers from Burapha University who organized the training to develop leaders of change for the development of workers. The training is an important force in improving the quality of life for workers. It is considered a network partner at the cerebral level that will promote the creation of health in the organization for sustainable development in the future. We would like to thank all participants for their commitment to creating knowledge and understanding and exchanging knowledge together. Let’s help build concrete and innovative model wellness organization of learning that is very beneficial,” concluded Mr. Suthi.
