“Pol.Gen. Adul” Teaches Inspectors with Emphasis on Government Inspection Policies for 2019 with Public’s Best Interest

          The Minister of Labour presented government inspection policies for 2019 to inspectors of the ministry and its department. He reiterated guidelines for inspection to drive strategies into practice to excel operations in the area, maximize benefits for the people and monitor the royal coronation ceremony, both before and after the event.
 
 
          On January 23, 2019, at 13.30 hours, Labour Minister H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo chaired the meeting to present government inspection policies for 2019, to inspectors of the Ministry of Labour and its departments at the Prasong Rananant Conference Room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. He said that government inspection is an essential standard in government administration, to make government practices or preparation of government agency missions to meet particular goals, including alignment with principles of integrated government and city administration. He also asked that inspectors of the ministry and departments / Social Security Office has adopted a framework for monitoring and driving the work according to the policy and the Ministry of Labour’s operations to achieve results.
          The following policies were presented: 1. Thirteen agenda-based items such as upgrading the skills of workers to be super workers, to support the industry and services of the future. 2. Four area-based policies such as allowing provincial workers to be regional representatives of ministries to drive the ministry’s plans at the local level to achieve unity 3. Seven administration-based policies such as upgrading the Ministry of Labour to be a unit with international standards by enhancing convenience and speed in various forms of services including e-services, mobile application, social media and web applications, as well as improving ministry and department structures in line with the Thailand 4.0 policy, 20-year national strategy and country reform.
          The Labour Minister also emphasized that inspectors of ministries and departments follow the policies, and urged the Ministry of Labour’s agencies at the local area level proceed on essential issues such as solving Thai labour issues to work abroad, careers reserved for Thai people and requesting all relevant agencies to prepare and follow up on operational information in relation to the royal coronation ceremony between May 4 – 6, 2019, including operations before and after the event.
          Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark also discussed important government inspections such as monitoring important and focused on the prevention of corruption and misconduct of staff and integration of affiliated agencies for example. In 2019, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General has scheduled the examination of the government to be divided into 3 rounds. The first round will be to organize a meeting to clarify guidelines for government inspections; the second round will be to follow up progress on performance according; the third will be to evaluate the overall performance including implementations following suggestions.
