On Saturday 18 June 2011, Office of Labour Affairs, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv went to visit Thai workers in the City of Tiberias and Golan Heights at Kibbutz Mevo Hama and Moshav Giv’at Yohaf.
 
At Kibbutz Mevo Hama, it operates cow and chicken farm as well as growing vegetable such as Parsley, Lemon balm, Garlic, Onion, Wheat, Sweet corn. In addition, work schedule depends upon season, namely, in the winter; workers have to wake up and work around 09.00 – 10.00 am whereas, in summer; they will wake up and work during 05.30 -06.00 am. Normally, workers often spend their times off by playing sport games such as rattan ball, volleyball, football. On the visit, workers’ living conditions are well-being due to sufficient facilities provided by the employer and in this regard, the officers advised workers to stick on the cleanliness and stay away from drugs in order to preserve well image of Thai workers and labour market’s opportunity in Israel. However, these workers faced with the daily reduction of wages by the employer during their 30 minute lunch break, therefore; the officers would contact the employer to solve the problem.
 
At Moshav Giv’at Yohaf, it operates orange farming, turkey and bee farm which there are 5 Rai for growing and 18,000 turkeys. Also, it employs 10 Thai workers and these workers get approximately 4,500 Shekel monthly. Regarding the visit, apart from their fairly living conditions, these Thai workers were happy to meet the officers and they would like to bring all agricultural knowledge gained to implement the agriculture in Thailand.
 
On the occasion of the visit, the officers gave sport equipment and the flags to these Thai workers of both business places.
