Thailand joins Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar to develop national identity plan

          Mr. Anurak Tossarat, Director-General, Department of Employment, The Ministry of Labor has revealed that Thai authorities have consulted with Cambodian, Laos and Myanmar authorities to work out a plan to prove the workers’ nationality for convenience and speed. The appointment will allow the workers to prove citizenship center near home. The center will relocate to a large number of workers. This will be a mobile team to the area. For workers who hold pink cards, the card expires on March 31st, 2018 and is registered with the Department of Employment can be used to verify nationality. Workers must bring a document confirming the online registration or registration document through the provincial employment office. There are 179,227 workers who have to prove their nationality: Cambodian 129,894 people, Laos 21,139 people, Myanmar 28,194 people.
