The employer has paid to 39 Myanmar workers for a total of 1.5 million

          Mr. Ananchai Uthaiwattanachep, The Director General of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare disclosed the assistance to 39 Myanmar workers who filed a complaint with the Labor Protection and Welfare Office of Tak Province on October 12, 2017 that a company in Tak province did not pay wages and overtime. The Department of Labor Protection has implemented the legal process by examining the facts and clarifying the rights laws and regulations. On December 8, 2017, the employer paid the overtime pay and the wages as agreed with an employee of 1,500,000 Baht to the labor inspectors for payment to the 39 Myanmar workers.

          Mr. Ananchai further stated that the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare paid attention to issues related to labor rights, forced labor and human trafficking with the protection of Thai workers and foreign workers who come to work in Thailand equally. If the employee is not treated unfairly, the employee can file a complaint at the Bangkok Labor Welfare and Protection Office, The Provincial Labor Protection and Welfare Office is located or at the hotline 1546.
