The government pushes Safety Thailand to prepare Fire Extinguishers – Fire Exits in Town Halls Nationwide

          Mr. Ananchai Uthaiwattanachep, Director General of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare revealed that H.E.!Police General Adul Sangsangkeo, Minister of Labor promoted the policy of Safety Thailand to ensure that workers are safe, healthy, and create a sustainable working culture in order to achieve this goal effectively, the policy will be put into practice from the public sector to the people. The Department of Labor Protection and Welfare has cooperated with central, regional and local government agencies to provide safety, occupational health and working environment standards. In addition, the fire drills and fire extinguishers together with relevant agencies in town hall across 76 provinces to ensure that personnel in the unit, the people who come to the service, and those who are concerned are safe. Including a pilot to the government and extended the results to the central government, local government, local government as an example, the private sector recognizes the importance of working in safety.
          Director-General of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare added that Safety, Occupational Health and Working Environment Act 2011 for the central government, provincial administration, local government, and other businesses as prescribed in the Ministerial Regulations provide a standard for the work of their agencies not less than safety standards. Occupational Health and Working Environment Firefighting and fire drills should be organized in government agencies. This is a requirement in the Ministerial Regulations to set standards for management and the implementation of safety, occupational health and working environment related to prevention and fire suppression in 2012.
