The Ministry of Labor reiterates Thailand’s workforce abroad to inform the Department of Employment after being found tricked into prostitution in Lebanon

          Mr. Anurak Tossarat was promoted to Director General of the Department of Employment, Ministry of Labor announced that the Labor Office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia received a complaint and asked for help from Thai female workers who went to the spa in Beirut, Lebanon since being persuaded through a line from a Thai broker in Lebanon to work at a spa. There will be no deductions. Air ticket, work permit, and visa fee will be paid at US $ 400 per month, excluding the tip, but must pay a commission of 30,000 baht each, which confirms that no need to go through the Department of Employment. When Thai female workers arrive in Lebanon, they are forced to massage and prostitution or pedophilia. In addition, some employers deduct all costs from their visa and work permit fees.

          Mr. Anurak Tossarat said that Thai workers went to work without the Department of Employment and not a member of the fund to help people find work abroad. It is a trip to work illegally. The right to work abroad is subject to approval by the Department of Employment to prevent job seekers from being deceived or exploited by employers and reiterate that those who deceive others can find jobs or can be sent to internship abroad, and by that deception, the property or any other benefit from the deceived imprisonment of 3-10 years or a fine of 60,000 – 200,000 baht, or both.
