Toyota Thanks the Government for COVID-19 Vaccinations Creating Worker Immunity to Move Businesses Forward

            Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin welcomed Mr. Toshiya Kumasaki, President of Toyota Auto Works Co., Ltd., and his team on the occasion of meeting with the Labour Minister to discuss and exchange information about guidelines for the COVID-19 pandemic. He also thanked the government and the Ministry of Labour for helping employees get vaccinated against COVID-19. The occasion took place at the Chatumongkol Room, 6th floor, Ministry of Labour building. Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, Secretariat to the Labour Minister Mr. Suthep Chitvong, Assistant Minister from the Prime Minister’s Office performing duties for the Ministry of Labour Police Major General Nantachat Supamongkol, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics) Mrs. Thienrat Navamawat, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion.
            Mr. Suchart said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, care about entrepreneurs, especially investors and fellow workers. Therefore, there are important policies to implement measures to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 in factories. The Ministry of Labour has implemented the factory sandbox project. The main objective is to examine, treat, control, and supervise “health economics” to build employee immunity and confidence in driving the economy. The effort is to support the nation to escape the COVID-19 crisis together.
            Mr. Toshiya said that at present, Toyota Auto Works Co., Ltd. has 342 employees. Today, he met with the Labour Minister to thank the government and the Ministry of Labour for helping to ensure that almost 100 percent of the company’s employees have been vaccinated against COVID-19. In addition to creating safety for employees and their families, this will create immunity among workers in the workplace to build confidence for investors and its consumer market. This will create economic stability for the government and enable businesses to move forward.
