The interview will be broadcast today at 17.20 hours. The topic was how the Thai workers in Ukraine are now, what the morale is like and how many Thai workers are in Ukraine. The interview also covered how many people have requested to return to Thailand, how the help center is set up, and what agencies have provided initial support and coordination. Labour Minister Listens to Recommendations from 9 Associations to Resolve Issues on Importing Foreign Workers and Prepares for Economic Drive After COVID-19 Situation Subsides

The Labour Minister chaired a meeting to clarify the work on managing foreigners of the three nationalities at Prasong Rananant Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Ministry of Labour. The meeting took place with relevant agencies to create knowledge and understanding on implementing work management guidelines for foreigners of the three nationalities.           On February 21, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin revealed that the Ministry of Labour invited relevant a gencies such as the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the Department of Provincial Administration, the Immigration Bureau, the Ministry of Public Health, and members of the private sector, such as the Federation of Thai Industries, the Thgement of the work of foreigners of the three nationalities (Cambodia, Laos, a nd Myanmar). PM Shows Concern for Employees Impacted in Construction Site Accident and Instructs Labour Minister to Expedite Remedies to the Deceased’s Families and Injured Employees

       On February 17, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about assisting workers injured and killed in the construction site incident at the One Bangkok Project, Rama IV Road, Lumpini Subdistrict, Pathumwan District, Bangkok, with Italian-Thai Development PCL as the construction contractor. There was an accident in which the steel supporting the casting of concrete collapsed while the concrete was being poured. As a result, three employees died, and three were injured. He said that the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha expressed his condolences for the incident and urged the Ministry of Labour to urgently assist the relatives of the deceased and injured workers. On February 17, 2022, at the meeting room on the 5th floor, Ministry of Labour, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Secretariat to the Labour Minister Mr. Suthep Chitvong, to preside over the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on “Raising Thai Labour Standards for Sustainable Progress” between the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare and Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL or CPF. MOL Organizes Training for the Development of the Integrity & Transparency Assessment in the MOL’s Operations to Improve the Corruption Perception Index

          On January 20, 2022, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, chaired the opening of the training session on the development of moral assessment and transparency in the Ministry of Labour’s operations, which aims to raise the level of the Corruption Perception Index.
