Labour Minister Prepares Nearly 20,000 Beds in Hospitels For Insured Persons to Support COVID-19 Patients

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the progress on bed management to support Sections 33 and 39 insured persons infected with COVID-19 from the current pandemic situation. He said that the Ministry of Labour by the Social Security Office had prepared hospital medical personnel in the social security network, with nearly 20,000 beds in Hospitels; approximately 12,000 beds have been used. Once the insured person recovers and the doctors allow them to go home, the beds will be empty again. Insured persons are circulating in and out every day. At the same time, the Social Security Office will coordinate to find additional beds to support adequate treatment of the insured. Labour Minister Assigns Advisor and Spokesperson to Visit and Encourage Insured Persons Getting Vaccine Booster Doses at Thai-Japan Stadium in Din Daeng

       On January 17, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit the area and encourage insured persons under Section 33 to get their third jab (booster dose) of the COVID-19 vaccine at the West Sports Building 1, Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan), Din Daeng, Bangkok. The Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, and the Social Security Office’s Spokesperson Ms. Ladda Saelee also joined the occasion. MOL Joins Sustainable Development Committee Meeting No. 1/2022

          On January 17, 2022, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong joined the Sustainable Development (SD) Board of Director’s Meeting No. 1/2022 via the electronic system at the Permanent Secretary of Labour’s Meeting Room, 7th Floor, Ministry of Labour. The meeting monitored the progress of the mission-driven action of the responsible agencies and coordinated the principles of driving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets. It also acknowledged the implementation of Thailand’s SDG Roadmap, the Voluntary National Review (VNR) 2021, considered improvements to sub-committees and working groups under the Sustainable Development Committee, including guidelines for driving the country’s sustainable development goals in the next phase. Insured Persons Do Not Need to Worry; Labour Minister Instructs SSO to Prepare Hospitels Amid Omicron Outbreak

On January 6, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the COVID-19 situation and the outbreak of the Omicron variant.           Today (December 17, 2021) at 09.00 hours, Prime Minister and Minister of Defence General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin joined as witnesses the signing of the memorandum of handing over some parts of the “Benjakitti” forest park phase 2 and 3, between the Royal Thai Army and the Treasury Department, and the Treasury Department and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. The Royal Thai Army has completed the construction of construction site one, which has an area of approximately 160 rai, one ngan, 76 square wa. MOL Commences 29th Class of New Official’s Training

          On December 7, 2021, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud presided over the opening ceremony of the training course for the development of the Ministry of Labour’s new civil servants, Class 29. The said training aims to instill the philosophy of being a good government official and developing civil service practice skills. The training also aims to promote moral and ethical practices and allow participants to develop their working network.
