Labour Minister Emphasizes May 31 as Last Day of Covid-19 Screenings at the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin emphasized that insured persons and the general public hurry to get Covid-19 tested at the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng, open until May 31, which will be the last day. MOL Commences Workshop on the Progress of the Ministry of Labour: Adoption of Ethical Recruitment and Employment Practices by Businesses in Thailand Based on the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights

          On May 17, 2021, at 09.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol assigned the Department of Employment’s Director-General Mr. Suchat Pornchaiwiseskul, acting in place of the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, to chair the commencement of the workshop on the Progress of the Ministry of Labour: Adoption of Ethical Recruitment and Employment Practices by Business in Thailand Based on the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights. The workshop was hosted online at the Permanent Secretary of Labour’s meeting room, 7th floor, Ministry of Labour. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) jointly organized the event. Prime Minister Shows Concern for Thai Worker Injured in Gaza Strip Blast; Instructs Labour Minister to Ensure Entitled Support

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that the Prime Minister is concerned about the Israeli-Palestinian unrest. The fighting in Gaza caused one Thai worker to be injured by the blast. He instructed relevant agencies to ensure that workers receive entitled benefits and immediately inform relatives of their care and assistance.           On May 15, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the unrest in Israel – Palestine from the fighting in the Gaza Strip.          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin and the committee visited the Twin Towers Hotel, Rong Muang Road, and Avana Grand Hotel and Convention Center Soi Bangna-Trad 12/1, Bangna-Trad Road, Bangna, Bangkok. The hotels opened as a Hospitel under the social security network to support asymptomatic insured persons with Covid-19, receive adequate treatment, and ensure that insured persons with Covid-19 receive treatment to reduce the risk of fatalities.          On May 4, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin presided over the opening of the Hospitel under the social security network to support Covid-19 patients. Labour Minister Reports Bangkok Governor Gives Green Light to Continue Proactive Covid-19 Screening with Increased Measures on Social Distancing; Patients at High Risk and Fever Will Be Sent for Immediate Treatment at Hospitals in the SSO Network

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that the Ministry of Labour has coordinated with Bangkok Governor Maj. Gen. Asawin Kwanmuang, whereby the Ministry of Labour will continue to conduct proactive Covid-19 screenings for insured persons with the Ministry of Public Health at the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng. Additional measures required by the Bangkok Administration include the following:           1) Social distancing at 1.5 to 2 meters apart;           2) Insured persons assessed as high risk or has a high fever must be rushed to the hospital immediately;           3) Those who have a positive result will be sent to a hospital in the social security network.
