Labour Minister Emphasizes May 31 as Last Day of Covid-19 Screenings at the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin emphasized that insured persons and the general public hurry to get Covid-19 tested at the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng, open until May 31, which will be the last day. The center will then be quickly converted into a facility to vaccinate insured persons under Section 33.

          On May 30, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that following the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha concern for insured persons, informal workers, self-employed workers, and the general public amid the Covid-19 situation, he instructed the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan to work with the Ministry of Interior, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the Ministry of Public Health, by the NHSO, to conduct proactive Covid-19 screening for insured workers and informal worker. The initiative is under the “Workforce Fighting Together” project and is free of cost to service users. Services are provided from April 17 to 30, 2021, and extended from May 5 to 31, 2021. Tomorrow (May 31, 2021) will be the last day for proactive Covid-19 screenings at the West Sports Building 1, Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan) in Din Daeng, Bangkok, as the staff will convert the location in preparation for vaccination for insured persons under Section 33, which will commence in June.

          “Tomorrow is the last day that the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng provides Covid-19 screenings as it will be converted into a vaccination site. I encourage insured persons, informal workers, and the general public who intend to get tested to register and reserve their queue via the https://sso.icntracking.com/icntracking/self_register.php website, entering a 13-digit national ID or passport number, fill out the risk assessment information as required by the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health. Once the test is complete, you can go home immediately as the test results will be sent by SMS to the phone number listed for convenience and speed to avoid waiting in long lines. Service users must bring their national ID card and a copy of the national identity card, certified as a true copy. Since the services started, close to 90,000 people have been screened. Cases of infection with symptoms will be sent to the hospital for treatment in a social security network. Those found to be asymptomatic or in the yellow category following the criteria set by the Ministry of Public Health were referred for treatment at the Hospitel in the social security, looked after by a team of doctors and nurses,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
