Labour Minister Receives Hygiene Masks and PPE Kits from the Private Sector to Distribute to Healthcare Workers Fighting Covid-19

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin received a donation of hygiene masks and PPE kits from private company representatives for the Ministry of Labour to distribute to staff and medical personnel carrying out the proactive Covid-19 screening among insured persons, informal workers, and the general public, to prevent further outbreaks and to control the pandemic in Bangkok and vicinity.
          On May 11, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin received a donation of hygiene masks and PPE kits from private company representatives for the Ministry of Labour to distribute to staff and medical personnel carrying out the proactive Covid-19 screening among insured persons, informal workers, and the general public, to prevent further outbreaks. The occasion took place at the Chatumongkol meeting room, 6th floor, Ministry of Labour. Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour and Acting Director-General of the Department of Employment, Mr. Phairoj Chotikassthian, also joined the occasion. Seven groups from the private sector donated the following: 1) Italian-Thai Development PCL donated 161 boxes or 200,000 hygiene masks. 2) The Trade Association of the Potential Development of Operator Importing Foreign Workers donated 117 boxes or 300,000 hygiene masks. 3) The Labour Development Trade Association donated 86 boxes or 300,000 hygiene masks. 4) Khun Chatchawan Chearavaranon donated 1,050,000 hygiene masks and 1,000 PPE kits. 5) Employer representatives from Rayong donated 100,000 hygiene masks. 6) Companies importing foreign workers to work in the country donated 50,000 hygiene masks, and 7) The Thai-Chinese Industrial Trade Association donated 52 boxes of or 100,000 hygiene masks and 1,000 PPE kits.
