Labour Minister Joins Cabinet’s Official Offsite Meeting No. 3/2024 in Phetchaburi

          On May 14, 2024, at 09.30 hours, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, participated in the Cabinet’s Official Offsite Meeting No. 3/2024 on “Green Economy Base and Eco-Tourism” in the Lower Central Province Group 2 (Prachuap Khiri Khan, Phetchaburi, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon). The Prime Minister, Mr. Srettha Thavisin, presided over the meeting. Before the Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister and the Cabinet visited various exhibitions. The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mrs. Marasri Jairangsi, and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi Province joined in the welcome at the Phanom Kaew Kamnerd meeting room, 2nd floor, Sumet Tantivejkul Building, Phetchaburi Rajabhat University, Na Wung Subdistrict, Mueang Phetchaburi District, Phetchaburi Province.

          On May 4, 2024, at 18.00 hours, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathien, participated in the social gathering to honour His Majesty the King on the occasion of Coronation Day, May 4, 2024. The Prime Minister, Mr. Srettha Thavisin, presided over this occasion. The Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives attended the Santi Maitri Building, Government Houses.           The government organized the social gathering in honour of His Majesty the King on Coronation Day, May 4, 2024. Important people were invited along with their spouses, including various agencies from both the Government and private sectors, including diplomatic organizations and international organizations.

MOL was Awarded the Best Government Agency at the Ministry Level, the “Sampao-Navathong” Award for 2022

          On December 14, 2022, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, received the award for the best government agency at the ministry level in facilitating the business sector, the “Sampao-Navathong” award 2022. The Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Wissanu Krea-ngam, presided over the award presentation at the Auditorium on the 7th floor, Building 23, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Vibhavadi Road, Din Daeng, Bangkok.           The award for the best government agencies in facilitating the business sector, the “Sampao-Navathong” award for 2022, was organized by the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand. It selects government agencies that improve procedures and reduce obstacles in business operations effectively to receive awards. It honours and publicizes award-winning agencies and establishes cooperation and law amendment processes with relevant agencies. Labour Minister Assigns Secretariat to Kick Off the Skill Expo Thailand 2022 Developing People for the New World

          On December 14, 2022, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned the Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Mr. Suthep Chitvong, to preside over the opening ceremony of the Skill Expo Thailand 2022 project, developing people into the new world. MOL Joins the National Climate Change Policy Committee Meeting No. 4/2022

           On December 7, 2022, at 10.46 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Somchai Morakotsriwan, to join the National Climate Change Policy Committee Meeting No. 4/2022 via Zoom Cloud Meetings. Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan presided over the meeting at the Ministry of Labour’s Office of the Inspector-General, 8th Floor, Ministry of Labour.            The meeting’s agenda summarized the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) and related meetings, including improving the division of government within the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to support the mission on climate change (Department of Climate Change and Environment). Labour Minister Assigns Spokesperson to Lead Team to Donate Education and Sports Equipment in Thai PBS’s “Giving Warmth, Love and Care, for 2022” Project to Support Poor Schools

            On December 6, 2022, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on Politics), Mrs. Thienrat Navamawat, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Mr. Nantachai Panyasurarit, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives donated winter blankets, sweaters, school uniforms, teaching equipment, sports equipment, consumer goods, and general items. Representatives from private sector executives from Thai Football Factory Sporting Goods Co., Ltd. (FBT), Bai Li Enterprise Co., Ltd., and Thai Stanley Electric Public Company Limited, jointly delivered the donations to the Thai PBS television station. The recipients were the Thai PBS Foundation Manager, Mrs. Khaisaeng Sakda, and the Graphics Manager of the Television and Radio Bureau, Mr. Wasan Wachirachai. MOL Joins Meeting to Review and Evaluate Thailand’s National Decent Work Plan 2019 – 2022

             On November 29, 2022, at 13.30 hours, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, to chair the opening meeting to Review and Evaluate Thailand’s National Decent Work Plan 2019 – 2022 and the preparation of the new Thailand Decent Work National Plan 2023 – 2026. The meeting took place at the Kamolthip Room, Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok. He said that the Decent Work Country Program (DWCP) is a cooperation framework that the ILO has established with member countries as a reference document for providing assistance and support to member countries. It is formed by establishing strategies, guidelines, and clear goals that correspond to the context and urgent agenda, both economically and socially, to promote decent work for all. Permanent Secretary Joins the Opening of the “Healthy Air Forum 2022”

          On November 15, 2022, at 09.00 hours, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, presided over the “Healthy Air Forum 2022” opening ceremony. President of the Indoor Air Quality Promotion Association, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pradipat Pongkiatkul reported the event’s objective at the Grand Ballroom, 5th floor, Grand Center Point Hotel, Terminal 21 Bangkok.           Mr. Boonchob said indoor air pollution is a major global environmental and health problem. Most of the population lives inside houses or buildings rather than in outdoor spaces. In Thailand, buildings are being built rapidly, with residential buildings looking more modern and beautiful. At the same time, indoor air quality problems persist, such as dust, temperature, humidity, and poor ventilation, causing mould, bacteria, and carbon dioxide accumulation, which affects both the short and long-term health of residents and building occupants.           On November 11, 2022, at 09.09 hours, His Majesty the King graciously bestowed the royal robes for the robe offering ceremony in honour of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great on the anniversary of his death and contributions to the Royal Tuition Scholarship Project for Thai Monks at Wat Praram Kao Kanchanapisek, Huai Khwang Subdistrict, Huai Khwang District, Bangkok. The Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, presided over the robe offering ceremony.             On October 30, 2022, at 09.29 hours, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, presided over the Ministry of Labour’s Royal Kathin Robe Ceremony for 2022 at Wat Juthathit Thammasaparam Worawihan Phra Aram Luang, Tha Thewawong Subdistrict, Koh Sichang District, Chonburi Province. The ceremony was an offer of royal merit to His Majesty the King. It is also a response to the monarchy to preserve and promote Buddhism.
