Labour Minister Visits Songkhla to Encourage Employees and Commend Employers for Supporting the Economy and Employment

On January 7, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin visited and encouraged employees in two establishments. The first was Safe Skin Medical and Scientific (Thailand) Co., Ltd., which operates in producing medical rubber gloves. The company is located at Prik Subdistrict, Sadao District, Songkhla Province, and has 866 insured persons. The second organization was Thavorn Rubber Industry (1982) Co., Ltd., located in Sadao Subdistrict, Sadao District, Songkhla Province. The company has 234 insured people and produces and distributes smoked rubber sheets for domestic and international markets. MOL Joins Executive Committee Meeting of the COVID-19 Situation Administration

            On January 7, 2022, at 09.30 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud participated in the Executive Committee Meeting of the COVID-19 Situation Administration No. 1/2022 via Zoom at the Sangsingkaew Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Ministry of Labour. Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha chaired the meeting at Santi Maitree Building (outside building), Government Houses.             The meeting considered situational leveling and preventive measures to control diseases, the adjustment of disease prevention measures for entering the Kingdom, the vaccination service plan, and the drug supply plan for the treatment of COVID-19 (antiviral drug Paxlovid) of the Center for Emergency Medicine and Public Health, in the case of COVID-19. Labour Minister Assigns Assistant to Conclude Robotics Skills Competition Supporting the EEC

          Assistant to the Labour Minister chaired the closing ceremony for the competition for skills in robotics and machines to increase the competitiveness of the country and the EEC.           On December 24, 2021, at 10.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong presided over the closing ceremony speech for the second skill competition in automation and robotics, the “MARA Skill Competition 2021”, during December 23 to 24, 2021. The competition had six competing branches, including three branches competing in teams of 2 each, namely Mechatronics, PLC, and the maintenance of robots. There are three individual branches, including robotics, Computer Mechanical Drawing (CAD), and Artificial Intelligence (CiRA CORE). Workers Have a Peace of Mint with MOL’s Nine New Year’s Gifts for 2022

          On December 23, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, to give an interview to the “Clear Cut, Chud Jane” program about the Ministry of Labour’s New Year Gifts. The program also explained the trend of the labour market demand in 2022 on the Radio and Television of Thailand Channel NBT.           Mr. Boonchob said that in 2022, the Ministry of Labour would have 9 New Year gifts to bring happiness to the workforce. The gifts consist of the first gift, reducing the contribution rate of insured persons under Section 40 by 60 percent for six months. The second gift is a New Year gift to encourage insured persons who are bedridden patients and disabilities under every Section. The Ministry of Labour releases a line of 123 foreign worker and enterprise inspection officers to investigate migrant workers according to the Cabinet Resolutions on September 28, 2021, for organizations not following the resolution.
