August 22, 2025, 09.00 hours – Mr. Pongkawin Jungrungruangkit, Minister of Labour, presided over a ceremony to deliver remarks of encouragement and support to the Thai youth delegation competing in the 14th ASEAN Skills Competition, prior to their departure on August 23, 2025, to the Philippines.           September 27, 2025 – Ms. Trinuch Thienthong, Minister of Labour, presided over the opening ceremony of the Job Fair Zone at the Thailand–China Cooperation Expo 2025. Also in attendance were Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Wichit Intaracharoen, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Employment, and senior executives from the Ministry of Labour. September 26, 2025, at 09.09 hours – Ms. Trinuch Thienthong, Minister of Labour, visited the Ministry of Labour to pay homage to the sacred entities. These included Phra Phutthasuthidhammaphiphit, Phra Phutthachinnarat, Chai Mongkhon Shrine, Thao Maha Phrom Thewarit Shrine, and Phor Pu Chinphromma Shrine. Labour Minister’s Advisor Chairs Meeting on Enhancing Thai Workers’ Potentials and Expanding Overseas Labour Markets

August 25, 2025, at 13.30 hours – Mr. Jakkrapong Sumetchotimetha, Advisor to the Minister of Labour, chaired the meeting of the Working Group on Enhancing the Potential of Thai Workers and Expanding Overseas Labour Markets. Participants included Lt. Cdr. Vittavat Koodprasert, Advisor to the Labour Minister, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, senior executives from the Ministry of Labour, and representatives of relevant agencies. May 31, 2025 – Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, shared a media briefing following his response to questions during the House of Representatives budget deliberation on the 2026 Fiscal Year Budget Bill, affirming that he addressed all concerns raised by the opposition with clarity and precision.  Mr. Phiphat stated that the increased 2026 Fiscal Year budget allocation for the Ministry of Labour will support key programs under the Department of Skill Development, including procurement of computer and AI systems. These investments are crucial for developing updated training curricula in IT and AI, replacing outdated equipment to align with evolving labour market demands. He added that traditional skill development models no longer match industry needs. Labour Minister Praises Surat Thani’s Quality Workforce: Invites Employers Nationwide to Join the Contest Until May 16

Mr. Phumipat Mueanchan, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson, revealed that from a field visit to businesses in Surat Thani Province, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, praised Haadthip Public Company Limited, the Punpin Factory, for being a model of a company that takes quality care of the workforce. The company emphasizes “people” as the heart of the organization. It is free of illegal labour, supports the development of vocational skills, and also promotes workers’ welfare according to the principles of the sufficiency economy by aligning to the guidelines of the Ministry of Labour’s Good Labour Project, encouraging employees to have additional income, helps reduce expenses, and creates stability in daily life from growing vegetables, growing rice, and raising fish in the factory area. Ministry of Labour Provides Compensation for Deceased and Injured Workers from the Earthquake Totalling Over 17 Million Baht

On April 3, 2025, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, revealed that from the earthquake on March 28 and the building collapse that caused injuries and deaths, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, gave great importance and took immediate action. He instructed the establishment of a war room to help workers within 1 hour after the incident broke out nationwide. Currently, as of April 2, 2025, the Ministry of Labour has assisted by paying compensation to 22 affected people through social security benefits, totaling 17,388,375 Baht, divided into 850,000 Baht for funeral expenses, 15,568,392 Baht for compensation in the event of death, and 969,983 Baht for old age pensions. Currently, documents are being collected from dependents who are entitled to the compensation.
