Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the progress in supporting employees of JSL who were terminated. Once the news was heard, the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, were concerned for the employees and tasked the Ministry of Labour to take care and assist the employees in receiving benefits and protection under the law. The Labour Minister has responded to that order and assigned the departments under the Ministry of Labour to inspect and expedite assistance immediately. An initial inspection by the Bangkok Labour Protection and Welfare Office Area 4 found that JSL Global Media Co., Ltd., has its head office at 154 Soi Lad Phrao 107, Lad Phrao Road, Klongchan Subdistrict, Bang Kapi District, Bangkok. The Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin welcomed the Chairman of the Federation of Thailand Automobile Workers, Mr. Manit Promkarikul, and members of the trade union to follow up on demands for the government to control the prices of consumer products and cancel the employment of wage contracts and plans to support the impact of workers from the switch to electric cars.
