MOL Joins Foreign Workers Fund Management Committee Meeting

            On July 19, 2022, at 13.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, assigned the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, as the chairperson of the Foreign Worker Fund Management Committee for the 2022 Fiscal Year Meeting No. 5/2022. The meeting considered the review of public relations projects to create awareness and understanding of policies on management, import, prevention, and protection of migrant workers’ rights, by the Ministry of Labour’s Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour and the government. It also considered the application for the allocation of funds from the fund by the Department of Employment, the application for the allocation of funds from the fund by the National Police, and programs to prevent and resolve forced labour or service problems that may arise from the violation of migrant workers by the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour. MOL Commences the “Labour Eyes” Project to Promote People’s Participation in Anti-Corruption Efforts

            On July 18, 2022, at 08.30 hours, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mrs. Bubpha Phanpeng, presided over the opening ceremony of the project to support and build people’s participation in anti-corruption efforts “Labour Eyes.” Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, participated in the project’s opening ceremony at the Chada Grand Ballroom, 2nd floor, Bangkok Chada Hotel, Bangkok. The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour said that the 20-year national strategy had established strategic issues for balancing and developing the government management system, which has set anti-corruption as a national agenda under the “Zero Tolerance & Clean Thailand” vision. MOL Organizes Merit-Making and Candle Offering Ceremony on Asanaha Bucha Day and Buddhist Lent Day 2022

            On July 11, 2022, at 09.30 hours, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister, Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, to preside over the merit-making ceremony, offering alms to nine monks and candles, on Asanha Bucha Day and Buddhist Lent Day 2022. The Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion to preserve Thai traditions and to strengthen the organizational culture by cultivating the consciousness of personnel with morality leading to development.           On Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 15.30 hours, the subcommittee for judging the provincial contest and the TO BE NUMBER ONE association at the diamond and upper-diamond level for 2022, including the Ministry of Interior’s Inspector-General Mr. Santithorn Yimlamai, a retired official under the Office of the Basic Education Commission Mr. Kitti Suthijitpaisan, Lieutenant Colonel Rungnapha Prasanpanich, and retired official under the Ministry of Interior visited Chanthaburi to for the provincial judging of the TO BE NUMBER ONE contest. Labour Minister Delivers Speech at GrabNEXT Aiming to Improve the Quality of Life for Informal Workers

          The Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, joined to give a speech on the “Better Life for Riders: Raising The Quality of Life for Informal Workers” at the GrabNEXT event on “Raising the Level of Thailand for a Better Life.” Mr. Worachat Lakkanarot, Executive Director of Grab Thailand, welcomed and explained the event’s objectives. He spoke about Grab Thailand’s role in promoting and improving the quality of life for people in society under the new normal, digital equality, and environmental sustainability.
