          May 4, 2025, at 18.00 hours – Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, along with his spouse, attended the banquet in honour of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn on the occasion of Coronation Day on May 4, 2025.          May 1, 2025 – Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, presided over the National Labour Day 2025 celebrations at Lan Khon Mueang, Bangkok. Labour Minister Invites Public to Celebrate National Labour Day 2025: 174,000 Job Vacancies, Free Vaccinations, Food, and Activities, All in One Play on May 1 at Lan Khon Mueang

            April 30, 2025 – Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, invited workers, employees, social security contributors, and the general public to attend the “National Labour Day 2025” celebration. “Phuchong” Returns to Rama 3 Construction Site: Enforces 5 Golden Safety Rules to Protect Workers and the Public in Major Infrastructure Projects

April 25, 2025 – The Ministry of Labour continues its second round of inspections on large-scale construction sites. Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, assigned Mr. Phuchong Worasri, assigned to the Office of the Prime Minister and currently serving at the Ministry of Labour, to launch the safety inspection at the Rama 3–Dao Khanong–Western Outer Ring Expressway Project, Contract 3. Joining the inspection were Captain Saroj Komkai, Director-General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Mr. Krirkkrai Nasomyont, Legal Advisor, senior executives from the Expressway Authority of Thailand and the Ministry of Labour, and representatives from the Structural Engineers Association of Thailand. This site visit is part of the integrated plan to inspect occupational safety standards at large construction sites in central Bangkok. Representatives from the Expressway Authority of Thailand, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, the Social Security Office, engineering associations, and other partner agencies conducted on-site evaluations to raise safety standards for both formal workers and nearby residents. On April 3, 2025, at 11.20 hours, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, gave an interview with reporters on “Protecting Workers’ Rights from the Earthquake on March 28, 2025” broadcasted on the Weekend Issues program, Pa Ngaem Attacks, Helping the Nation Integrate, on Channel 5. The interview took place at the Permanent Secretary of Labour’s Office, 7th floor, Ministry of Labour Building.

The Minister of Labor joins the cabinet in making merit by offering alms to monks on the occasion of New Year’s 2025 at the Government House.

On January 2, 2025, at 07.30 AM, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labor, took part in an almsgiving activity attended by 68 monks, which was presided over by Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra and her spouse, Mr. Pitak Suksawat.  The event was held by the cabinet, the Prime Minister’s Secretary, political officials, heads of government agencies under the Prime Minister’s Office, heads of government agencies within the Government House, government officials from government agencies within the Government House, and relevant officials. The ceremony was held in unison around the lawn in front of the Thai Khu Fah Building, Government House. Labour Minister Proceeds with Labour Inspections: Arrests 52 Illegal Foreign Workers in a Bang Lamung Construction Site and Reminds Employers to Take Correct Actions

On March 24, 2025, under the policy of Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour from the Ministry of Labour, the 5th Trai Thep Phithak Task Force (Eastern-Western Region), together with the security sector and local officials, inspected the construction site of a building without a number in Pattaya City, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, said that the operation was led by Pol. Lt. Col. Phanthep Omi, Deputy Head of Task Force 5, under the direction of Mr. Pichet Thongphan, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General. The inspection found three Thai workers and 55 foreign workers, divided into 52 Myanmar workers and 3 Cambodians. The 52 Myanmar workers did not have work permits. The officers, therefore, took action to arrest all of them according to the Royal Decree on the Management of Foreign Workers Employment B.E. 2560 on the charge of “being foreign workers working without permission” and are in the process of preparing an arrest record at Pattaya City Police Station.
