Labour Minister Meets with Nonthaburi and Pathum Thani Governors to Plan Covid-19 Vaccinations for Section 33 Insured Persons

            On June 28, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin gave a speech after charing the meeting to prepare for COVID-19 vaccinations for Section 33 insured persons in Nonthaburi and Pathum Thani provinces. The occasion took place at the Prof. Nikom Chandravithu meeting room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, Assistant Minister from the Prime Minister’s Office, performing duties at the Ministry of Labour Mr. Pornsak Charoenprasert, Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, the Labour Minister’s Secretariat Mr. Suthep Chitayawong, Major General Nantachat Supamongkol from the Office of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, performing duties for the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, Nonthaburi Provincial Governor Mr. Suchin Chaichumsak, Pathum Thani Provincial Governor Mr. Chaiwat Chuenkosum, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives joined the occasion. The Labour Minister said that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defence General Prayuth Chan-ocha, has set COVID-19 vaccinations as a national agenda. The Ministry of Labour, under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, is concerned about the workforce. Through the Ministry of Labour, there are 408,794 hospital medical personnel in the Social Security Office’s network, which have provided the COVID-19 vaccinations to 408,794 people already, or 95.48 percent (accumulated from June 6 to 24, 2021).

            Mr. Suchart said that Nonthaburi has 174,807 Section 33 insured persons who intend for vaccinations. They have been allocated 75,000 doses and will be vaccinated at Central Plaza Rattanathibet with a team of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists from Vibharam Pakkred Hospital as caretakers. The facility has the potential to vaccinate 2,500 people daily for 30 working days. Pathum Thani has 244,639 Section 33 insured persons who intend for vaccinations. They have been allocated 75,000 doses and will be vaccinated at two sites. The first is Bangkadi Industrial Park, with doctors, nurses, and pharmacists from Hospital Krung Siam St. Carlos Medical Centre. It has the potential to vaccinate 1,500 people daily. The second site is at Zeer Rangsit Department Store, with a team of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists from Rangsit Medical Hospital. It has the potential to vaccinate 1,500 people daily for 25 working days.

            “The Ministry of Labour’s meeting today with the governors of Nonthaburi and Pathum Thani provinces discussed vaccination plans for Section 33 insured persons of both provinces following government policy which has made vaccinations a national agenda to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The efforts will further build immunity among workers and bring the situation back to normal for the business sector to move forward as quickly as possible, concluded Mr. Suchart.
