On August 10, 2021, at 09.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol assigned Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour (Ms. Pattaraporn Samantarat) to presided over the opening of the Online Workshop – Access to decent housing for migrant workers in the ASEAN region via teleconference. The meeting took place at the meeting room of the Office of International Cooperation, 12th floor, Ministry of Labour.
The purpose of the meeting was to exchange examples of good conduct and lessons learned, promote quality housing for migrant workers, and consider and discuss the findings in the Home Truths: Access to Decent Housing for Migrant Workers in the ASEAN Region report. The said report studies international standards, domestic laws, and regulations, including housing for migrant workers in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand during the COVID-19 outbreak.
