A group of MOL Inspector-General went for supervision in Israel

           Between 25 and 29 April 2010, the group of Inspectors-General consisting of Mr. Cholchana Suriyanakaangkool, the MOL Inspectors-General, Mr. Kasem Kongkool, the Inspectors-General of Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, and Mrs. Dussadee Aumaranurak, Inspectors-General of the Social Security Office went to  supervise the working performance at the Labour Section in Israel Royal Thai Embassy Tel-Aviv. Mrs. Luckkana Boonsanong, the Director of Inspector-General and Mr. Rachot Sinwongsuwat, the Administrative Staff also accompanied the team.
            On this occasion, the group of MOL Inspector-General went to meet with Mr. Chatchawed Chartsuwan, the Ambassador at Tel-Aviv, to discuss about official issues. In this regard, Mr. Chatchawed expressed concern over the Israeli government policy to reduce the numbers of foreign workers. The MOL Inspector-General then listened to the briefing on the difficulties at works and the solutions as well as the scope of and the overall working performance of the labour section, which was evaluated by the four dimension indexes. In this way, MOL Inspector-General recommended the Labour Section to promote the expansion of Thai labour market into the elderly and disabled care job sector. This was because the demand for labours in this sector was still high in Israel. However, most of the market share was taken over by the Pilipino due to their advantages in language. In additional, it emphasized the role of good public relations in order to enhance the strength of Thai labour that they have no desire to settle down in Israel. It also stressed on good protection of Thai workers where they could cooperate with labour volunteers in this aspect. Furthermore, the MOL Inspector-General also asked the labour sector to put efforts to raise Thai workers awareness of the dignity of being Thai and tell them to work hard and keep away from drugs.
             On this trip, the MOL Inspector-General and the group also went to visit Thai labours who worked at Moshav Kfar Hess, Moshav Ein Tamar, Moshav Neot Hakikar, Kibbutz Bait, Kibbutz Oren, and Kibbutz Almog to monitor their working and living conditions as well as to suggest them to work hard, and keep away from drugs. They also told the workers to honor the dignity of being Thai as well as to respect the country, the religion, and the King.
