Chief Labour Inspector-General Observes Operations in Phichit on Promoting Occupation

            On August 6, 2019, the Ministry of Labour’s Chief Inspector-General Mrs. Achara Kaewgamchaicharoen visited Phichit province to follow up on operations to resolve occupational problems of the people. The Ministry of Labour’s departments in Phichit welcomed the visiting committee and took them around the area to observe various projects.

            In the morning, the inspecting committee attended a meeting to monitor the progress of the work according to the annual government inspection plan 2019, together with the agencies under the Ministry of Labour. After that, the committee observed operations to upskill workers at AT Biopower Company Limited. They then visited the plastic woven basket group at Tai Nam, Pho Thale, and the project to resolve occupational problems at the Bamboo Weaving Group, in Pa Makha, Mueang Phichit. The basketry group is supported by the Phichit Provincial Labour Office which encourages people to gather ideas on creating products from bamboo to promote family income.
            The Ministry of Labour’s Chief Inspector-General said that after observing the different activities, she could see concrete results, with groups creating work from materials nearby, increasing income for the family. She said she was satisfied with the work produced by agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phichit, working together to implement government policy that aims to improve stability in life and meet the needs of the people.
