Deputy Labour Minister Commends Labour Volunteers for Benefiting Communities

            On October 9, 2020, the Deputy Labour Minister Prof.Dr.Narumon Pinyosinwat and Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Capt. Thammanat Prompao visited Ubon Ratchathani to award badges to 163 labour volunteers and met over 1,000 agricultural workers. They also organized mobile service activities by five agencies under the Ministry of Labour in the area.
            The Deputy Labour Minister Prof.Dr.Narumon Pinyosinwat said that the Prime Minister had assigned the Minister of each ministry to meet the people to understand the issues, obstacles, and proposals for the government sector in assisting, in line with each ministry’s mission. Today, the Ministry of Labour had the opportunity to meet with Ubon Ratchathani workers, providing various offers to find a solution and assign relevant agencies to continue to help. The visit organized a mobile service unit for farmer groups as well. It provided advice on vacancies, took applications to be an insured person under Section 40, provided knowledge on safety, training for skill development, and independent occupation demonstrations. It showcased various missions that the Ministry of Labour carries out and its services to all target groups of workers. The Ministry of Labour has labour volunteers to help disseminate information from the government to the community. They are also a medium for listening to opinions, suggestions, and needs in various matters, and further relay the messages to the agencies under the Ministry of Labour to assist. Today, a total of 163 labour volunteers received a badge of being beneficial to the community.
            “Labour volunteers in the community are important people in representing the government and the local communities. They are the voice of the people so that the government can identify where support is needed, which ensures that the government’s work is truly in line with the people’s demand,” concluded the Deputy Labour Minister.
