Content Description

On April 28, 2021, Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat reported that Microsoft (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is scheduled to hold the Microsoft APAC Public Sector Digital Summit-Empowering Nations for a Digital Society event on May 7, 2021, hosted through the Microsoft Teams Live system. The session will talk about “Society and the Future of Work,” where panelists from various countries provide information and present ideas about the future of work and the direction of digital operations. Mr. Midas Marquea, Head of the Office of the Court Administrator Supreme Court, Philippines, and Mr. Roger Jone, Executive General Manager for Technology at Auckland Transport, New Zealand, are panelists, moderated by Mrs. Andrea Della Mattea, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Asia Pacific, Asia Pacific.

Prof. Narumon added that event’s discussion would showcase perspectives on the adjustment of the Ministry of Labour’s operations following the Covid-19 pandemic situation. The Ministry of Labour has supported formal and informal workers in remedies and skill development, including up-skill, re-skill, and new-skills, to meet market needs in the New Normal era, especially digital skills highly demanded today.

“Listening to future work practices from participating countries is useful for the application and preparation for situations that may arise, especially in today’s work that requires a wide variety of skills and basic digital skills,” concluded the Deputy Labour Minister.
