She awarded certificates to those who completed the training and observed the National Labour Skill Standards assessments for home and small commercial air conditioners at the Office of Skill Development, Nonthaburi.
The Deputy Labour Minister said that today, she had the opportunity to award certificates to the trainees in home and small commercial air conditioning technicians. She congratulated all those who have completed the training and asked them to use their work knowledge for themselves and their family. The Ministry of Labour aims to help workers of all groups to have opportunities for self-development. The efforts will help raise the skill levels to receive higher wages as well. Today, she visited and observed the National Labour Skill Standard assessment in home and small commercial air conditioning technicians, which has received a lot of attention from general workers and professionals in this field. In addition to working in a business establishment, it allows trainees to operate personal businesses with an income of about 1,000-2000 Baht per day and is a branch of technicians related to electricians, assigned to a professional electrician. It is the first occupational field to be operated only by those who have received a competence certificate. Qualifications of those who will be assessed for knowledge and ability must pass the assessments first.
The Deputy Labour Minister continued air conditioning technicians are a professional field about to be announced to be operated by people who have the same knowledge and capability as an electrician. People who work as air conditioning technicians should therefore hurry to take the National Labour Skill Standards assessment. Furthermore, those who have passed the assessments will receive fair wage rates in companies according to their skill standards. At present, there is an announcement of the wage rate according to the skill standard in 83 occupations. Those who pass the National Labour Skill Standards assessment in home and small commercial air conditioners, at the level 1 capacity, will receive a minimum wage following the standard skill rate, of no less than 440 Baht per day. For level 2 and level 3, the rate is a minimum of 550 Baht and 660 Baht per day, respectively.

The presence of departments in all areas will help serve people to develop their skills thoroughly. The integration of the five labour leaders’ work must relate to each other and join together for the benefit of the people,” concluded the Deputy Labour Minister.
