On September 7, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin delivered consumer goods that the private sector donated to the Ministry of Labour to support people who have suffered from the impacts of COVID-19. The delivery was made to residents of the Din Daeng 1 Community Housing, which included 10,000 sachets of instant noodles, 40,000 eggs, 1,000 packs of drinking water, and 20 gallons of alcohol gel. Ms. Siriphen Sapon, Chairman of the Din Daeng 1 Community Housing, flats 1-20, and Mr. Wittaya Chindalak, Chairman of the Din Daeng 1 Community Housing, flats 22-32, received the donations which will be distributed to families in the Din Daeng community who have suffered from the impact of COVID-19. Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics) Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion at the foyer on the ground floor, Ministry of Labour. Mr. Suchart said that Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan is concerned about the people who are affected and suffering from the COVID-19 situation. Today, he was assigned to bring consumer goods that the Ministry of Labour received from the private sector, pass on to the Din Daeng community, and help families affected by COVID-19 to help each other in times of trouble. The effort is another way to alleviate suffering and food expenses.
“Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan is concerned about the people in the Din Daeng flats who have been affected by the COVID-19 situation. Therefore, he has instructed me as the Labour Minister to bring things to the community chairpersons to distribute them to the residents who live in the flats, where many families live, including young children, the elderly, and bedridden people who cannot help themselves. I would like to give my encouragement to everyone to get through this crisis safely,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
