The Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries thanked the government and the Ministry of Labour for seeing the importance of the plan for effective vaccination distribution to insured persons under Section 33. He is confident that this will help reduce congestions in the hospital and control the spread of Covid-19 to the country’s economy recover quickly.
On May 20, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin chaired the meeting with the Federation of Thai Industries. Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries Mr. Suphan Mongkolsuthee, Vice Presidents of the Federation of Thai Industries Mr. Suchat Chantara-Nakarat and Mr. Sompoch Muangkrachang, and committee, joined for preparation on Covid-19 vaccinations to insured persons, in preparations to encourage and support the Labour Minister’s mission to vaccinate insured persons. Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, the Labour Minister’s Secretariat Mr. Suthep Chitayawong, and Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, the Social Security Office’s Secretary General Mr. Tosapol Kritawongwiman, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion at the Tien Achakul meeting room, 10th floor, Department of Employment.
The Labour Minister proposed the plan to vaccinate insured persons under Section 33. The first phase consists of 6 million doses in June 2021, with 1.5 million doses in the Bangkok area. July 2021 will have 4 million doses, whereby 1.5 million doses will be for Bangkok, and 3 million doses will be for the nine economic provinces. The Ministry of Labour has provided 45 vaccination locations in Bangkok using medical personnel, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists from 20 social security networked hospitals, to provide equipment and vaccinations. All necessary equipment for the vaccination is prepared.
President of the Federation of Thai Industries Mr. Suphan Mongkolsuthee, said that he had promoted companies to register through the Web-Service system, whereby 80% of insured persons intend to get vaccinated. He thanked the government and the Ministry of Labour for seeing the importance of insured persons in the industrial sector, which is a major cog in driving the country’s economy, by preparing a plan to effectively vaccinate insured persons under Section 33. The Federation of Thai Industries is confident that the plans will help reduce vaccination congestions in the hospital and control the spread of Covid-19. The effort will help the country’s economic system recover quickly.
